CARNEGIE HALL
Here we come!!
ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY
Under the direction of Andrew Milne - a former WCC Scholarship recipiant - we will be performing Randall Thompson's "Frostiana" at the Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall on June 1, 2024. The concert will include 100 singers - including the Westborough Community Chorus - and feature the New England Symphonic Ensemble and world-class soloists.
FROSTIANA was commissioned in 1958 for the 200th Anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Amherst, MA. The piece is comprised of seven movements from Robert Frost's poem "The Gift Outright". It was first performed in Amherst in October 1959 with Thompson conducting and Frost in attendance. We are proud to be representing Massachusetts at the world renowned Carnegie Hall.
